Founded in 2003 by winemaker Ian Henderson in the heart of Queensland's Granite Belt, Lirah was born from a passion for traditional vinegar making and a family vinegar culture that dates back to 1969. Inspired by time-honoured European techniques, Ian set out to produce premium Australian artisan vinegars using the finest local ingredients. What began with a handful of treasured oak barrels has grown into one of Australia's most respected artisan vinegar producers, renowned for exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
Each vinegar is carefully crafted and patiently matured, with Lirah's Grand Reserve and aged varieties spending years developing their rich flavour, depth and complexity in oak barrels. The result is a range of distinctive vinegars that celebrate tradition, local produce and the art of slow, careful craftsmanship.
