Hokstead Plantation- Pam Hockings, Rosenthal Heights QLD
Pam and David Hockings commenced the development of the native tree plantation, Hokstead Plantation, twenty-seven years ago on five and a half acres just outside Warwick. The property was devoid of any trees.
One of the great benefits of the plantation are the twenty-five species of bird life which now inhabit the trees. They regularly spot King Parrots, Lorikeets, Magpies, Double-Bars, Magnificent Blue Fairy Wren and are visited occasionally by the amazing and magnificent Black Cockatoo. The birds help to clean the plantation of harmful pests as well as providing an early morning orchestral delight.
