Jennifer Moffatt Author- Jennifer Moffatt, Westlake Qld
Jennifer grew up on a ballot block in south-east Queensland but study and career interests took her to the city. After a decade of Social Work practice and 27 years in a research career she is enjoying retirement.
Land ballots are an important part of Queensland’s rural history. While they were too challenging for some, Jennifer believes that overall land ballots are a good story which should be shared.
Drawing on her research background she interviewed balloters and descendants of balloters in central Queensland during her 2018 John Oxley Library Fellowship and has written a book based on this.
