Joanne Warren Leatherwork, Longreach Qld
My journey with leather started 40 years ago as a fill-in activity while awaiting the birth of my first child. I feel each piece of leather has its own identity and this determines the way it is used. I tend to focus on kangaroo and emu leather as both these animals are a part of the landscape in my area, and the Australian identity. The versatility of leather and range of leather techniques ensure I will be able to continue exploring possibilities with this medium.
