What began as encouragement from her grandchildren during the COVID lockdown became the inspiration for Ruth Jocelyn Doran to write and publish her life story. Drawing on a lifetime of remarkable experiences, Ruth's autobiography, The Call of the Kimberleys – A Life Well Loved, traces her journey from growing up in suburban Sydney to working as an Ansett flight hostess before a holiday in the Kimberley changed the course of her life forever. Captivated by the beauty, colour and remoteness of the outback, Ruth discovered a deep connection to the Australian bush that shaped the life she would come to cherish.
