Based at Linthorpe, west of Toowoomba, Sonya balances her work as a veterinary nurse with her passion for creating unique, hand-painted art and gifts. What began in 2020 as a creative outlet for friends and family, and a way to support her wildlife caring activities, has grown into a thriving small business. Inspired by the Australian bush and country life, Sonya creates rustic homewares, decorative pieces and gifts that often feature a touch of humour and personality.
Every item is individually hand-painted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Sonya enjoys developing new ideas each year and is always exploring fresh designs and techniques to add to her collection. Through Kanga Kreations, she hopes to share the joy she finds in creating handcrafted pieces that bring character, warmth and a smile to everyday life.
