“Mum’s a Crazy Lady…” Sophia told a friend. Needless to say, I was little miffed so I asked why she has said that. “Well you are Mum! You’re crazy about cooking!”

My passion for cooking was fostered from an early age by the time spent with my Grandmothers, the two Myrtles. One a town mouse and the other a country mouse, each had her very own style.

It was my love of cooking that led to a career as a Home Economics teacher; not only did I enjoy teaching the “how to” but I also revelled in the opportunity to share the love of food.

Cooking brings people together. Everything is better with cake!
