Leisa Clark Art- Leisa Clark, Greenmount Qld
For Leisa, painting is more than a creative pursuit – it is a return to the life she always imagined. As a teenager, Leisa dreamed of becoming an artist, often painting late into the night. Encouraged to follow a more conventional career path, she instead built a career in nursing and midwifery before a serious back injury, multiple surgeries and a battle with depression prompted her to reassess her life. Choosing to leave midwifery allowed her to rediscover the creative path she had long set aside.
Working primarily in acrylics, Leisa draws inspiration from the Impressionists and the bold energy of Pop Art. Her vibrant use of colour is designed to evoke joy, hope and optimism, particularly for those who have experienced depression or anxiety.
Through peaceful landscapes and reflective subjects, Leisa's paintings offer a moment of calm and an invitation to escape the pressures of modern life.
