For Maggie, storytelling has become a way of sharing her love of the Australian bush and the people who call it home.
Born and raised in Sydney, Maggie's life took an unexpected turn when she married a farmer which led life on a sheep and wool property on the western plains of New South Wales. Surrounded by the landscapes and characters of rural Australia, she discovered a passion for writing and went on to self-publish her work. Her creative journey even saw her write the musical Eureka!, which toured Queensland and was performed at Toowoomba's Empire Theatre.
During the COVID years, Maggie turned her attention to children's books, with A Little Bush Fairy becoming a bestseller and inspiring its sequel, A Little Bush Elf. Maggie considers her writing a gift and hopes her stories encourage readers of all ages to share her love of the land down under.
