McAllister

“McAllister” as a totally unimproved lump of land taken from a large station in the remote Gulf Country of far North Queensland, in 1968.

I was born and raised on a small, intensive farm in the Riverina, and, after falling in love with my husband, I found myself living in a shed with a 44 gallon drum for my stove and a shower rose and a bucket in a tree for the bathroom!!

From these primitive conditions we slowly began the development of our property.

The 18 years I spent in this country were some of the happiest, most challenging, but rewarding years of my life.
