Murrungundy Pistachios - Peter Fleming, Elong Elong NSW
Murrungundy Pistachios is a small orchard that is run by new owners Peter and Lynne Fleming and their son Hugh. It is on the historic “Murrungundy” farm at Elong Elong, which is half way between Dubbo and Dunedoo in Central West NSW.
The Fleming family bought Murrungundy Pistachios as a going concern from the Barton's in 2023. The previous owners established the orchard of 3,500 trees in 1979 as a diversification from cattle. We are now continuing this well-established brand and have brought some cattle and added our Doreen Poll merino flock to Murrungundy as well. We love the old house by the Talbragar River and our pistachios really are the nuts that smile!
