Tim BorthwickI’ve been writing bush poetry for some eighteen years. From a young age, I enjoyed reading the likes of Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson, then in my late twenties I began to dabble in the art myself. Telling a story in rhyme is both challenging and rewarding.
Bush poetry, I believe, is an important way to document some of the happenings of the past. Last year I was given the opportunity to put 50 poems together and attribute a short story to each one. The result being a card cover, 260 page book called ‘Waltzing Australia’. |
