Trish Treasures - Tricia Waterman, Wishart Qld
I was born and bred in Gympie, where my mother taught me some crochet stitches. Although I had not crocheted since childhood, I unexpectedly took it up again two years ago when I found myself confined to a camper trailer during a week of constant rain and decided to start crocheting a granny square rug. Since then, crocheting has been a big part of my retirement living. My creations have included rugs, storage bags, creatures such as frogs, cats and worms, as well as a variety of Christmas decorations. I love looking for projects to make and choosing the yarn and colour combinations to create treasures big, small and unique. I particularly love crocheting Christmas decorations as they represent the fun and joy of the season, and bring out the inner child in those who receive them.
