I've always had a passion for writing and illustrating stories, a hobby that started back in high school. Publishing my own books was a dream I held close for years. In 2016, that dream seemed within reach when a reputable publishing house took an interest in my book. Unfortunately, just as we were making progress, the company went bankrupt, leaving my book in limbo. Disheartened, I put the project aside.
It wasn't until 2018, with the unwavering support of my wonderful family, that I decided to take matters into my own hands and self-publish The Muddle. My goal was to ensure that it was proudly Australian Made—a detail that fills me with immense pride.
In 2019, I published my second book, The Puddle, and around the same time, my daughter Hannah created the most delightful children's book, Dave the Dung Beetle. This marked the beginning of a beautiful partnership, and McFuddle's Farm Children's Books was born. Six years later, our humble venture has blossomed into a series of six books, each one rooted in the stories and experiences of life on the land.
