Nicki Boden, Coorooman Qld
Knitting has been a lifelong passion for Nicki, who first picked up a pair of knitting needles at just eight years of age. Today, she shares that passion with a wonderful group of women who come together to create handcrafted brown dolls for the African charity Uthanda.
Each doll is lovingly knitted to provide comfort, companionship and a sense of belonging for children, supporting Uthanda's inspiring vision of placing a cherished doll into the hands of one million young people. Every dollar raised through Nicki's creations is reinvested into purchasing materials, allowing the group to continue making dolls for this remarkable cause.
For Nicki, every stitch is made with care, kindness and the hope of bringing comfort and joy to a child on the other side of the world.
