Wattle & Hide - Brenda Pumfrey, Clermont QLD
Wattle & Hide is located in Clermont, I originally started making baby shoes in 1994. What started as a need for comfortable shoes for my daughter soon evolved into a small business. In 2016 I rebranded my business and Wattle & Hide was established. There is minimal waste of leather as jewellery is made from leather and cowhide remnants.
I have always had a love of patchwork and started making patchwork clothing for ladies and children. Our Dear Daph clothing label was established on 22 May 2024 to honour my late mother who passed away 12 months earlier. My mother being a sewer herself taught me to sew at a young age. I was 10 years old when I made my first dress. Even though my Dear Daph clothing range is quite new, I have received significant interest.
